Dr. Seth Newman and Dr. Efstathios “Steve” Giannoutsos are passionate about creating an exceptional orthodontic experience for every one of their patients. Dr. Newman and Dr. Giannoutsos own many practices around the New York City area, all of which heavily focus on individual patient experience and satisfaction.
Dr. Newman grew up wanting to pursue a career in dentistry. Once in dental school, he discovered orthodontics and was drawn to the artful nature of the specialty. Dr. Newman met Dr. Giannoutsos while in school for orthodontics at NYU, and they hit it off immediately.
Dr. Giannoutsos, commonly called “Dr. G,” first decided he wanted to go into dentistry at the age of twelve after starting his own orthodontic treatment. He completed both his dental and orthodontic training at NYU. Years later, after going through school and establishing his own practice, he and Dr. Newman purchased their first practice together in Jackson Heights, Queens.
This was the seed that sprouted a long, successful partnership between the two doctors, and they now own many practices in the area. They hold their staff to rigorous standards for customer service and clinical excellence, and their practices are now the gold standard of orthodontic care in the northeastern United States.
As orthodontists and entrepreneurs, Dr. Newman and Dr. Giannoutsos are dedicated to creating beautiful smiles and exceptional orthodontic practices. Each of their practices heavily focuses on providing a superior patient experience from the first appointment to the finished product of a perfect smile.
Dr. Seth Newman earned his undergraduate degree in environmental health from Binghamton University. He then went on to complete his dental training at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class. There, he received multiple honors and awards, including the distinction of being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society. He completed a year of general residency at Mount Sinai, before being accepted into the orthodontics program at the NYU College of the Dentistry.
During his time at NYU, Dr. Newman participated as a clinical instructor of the Invisalign system. Recently, he was appointed a clinical attending at LIJ, of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. He regularly attends continuing education lectures and seminars to stay current with the most modern clinical and diagnostic orthodontic techniques.

Dr. Steve Giannoutsos earned his undergraduate degree in biology from St. John’s University before attending NYU to complete his dental training. Immediately after graduating dental school, he was accepted into NYU’s highly competitive orthodontic residency program, where he served as president and chief resident of his orthodontic class. Upon graduation, he was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Giannoutsos’ research thesis explored the treatment of children with cleft deformities. He enjoyed the time he spent researching this subject so much that he applied and was accepted to the craniofacial orthodontic fellowship program at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, at NYU’s Langone Medical Center. After completing his fellowship, he was asked to stay on as an attending doctor. He now holds a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery (Plastic Surgery).
